Battle of Alberta was owned in Oil country.
This blog is meant to define a reamsbottom. I will tell you, that this Reamsbottom is an Oilers fan, and in the battle of Alberta tonight, I witnessed my Oilers play like the team of teams against the Flames. It was nice to see the Oil play so well after hearing that they lost Horcoff for the season. After the Oilers scored their fifth goal I was inspired to post a picture of just how ecstatic I was.

LETS GO OILERS.

Now before the few Oiler fans that actually have the courage to stand up and cheer about a loosing season, let’s just put all this into perspective. I hate to break it to you all, but last is still last and one measly win over a team who will finish first in the division means nothing. Let’s talk in a couple months when the Whiners are out on the links and we are taking a 3-0 lead in the first round of the playoffs. But none of you Whiner fans like to talk about the future. Especially after Calgary LOCKED up their best four players to long term contracts. Even after all you whiners said that there was no way we could sign Kipper, Iggy, Dion, and Regehr. Kinda funny that we signed all four and you guys couldn’t sign or keep even ONE all star. Oh well Whiners, maybe you can sign another restricted free agent this July for 4 million dollars more than he is worth…..

Just as you cheer for the Flames, even when they suck, I cheer for the Oilers. And I might recall that the after the Flames race for the cup a few years back, it was the Oilers race for the cup. Oh and what team did they beat out to get that far… hmm was it the Flames.
Here is the thing I enjoy being about being an Oilers fan. When my Oilers lost their chance for the cup the year the Flames made their run against Tampa Bay, I cheered on the Canadian team… granted, their could possibly have been more Canadian players on Tampa Bay’s team, but that is besides the point. Every Oilers fan I knew, had the decency to cheer on the Flames.
I then bring you to the Oilers run for the cup. Every Flames fan I knew cheered for anyone but the Oilers. It disgusted me to know, that Flames fans were like that. It has corrupted me. I now rejoice in every Flames loss, as much as I rejoice in every Oilers win. Not because of the Flames themselves, but because of the fans they have.
