Well I have to admit that I have become a little less liberal since becoming married and having kids. I think that that is because I am protective of them. That being said I agree that the US does need to stand up and take their civil liberties back. The need to stand up and say, how come George and Dick were able to take away all our rights. And damn rights they should not have their guns taken away, because wether its Obama, McCain, Clinton, Bush or who ever is in power, they need to realize that the rights of the people need to be reinstated. It disgusts me that a government was able to take away those rights to begin with.

Now as you probably guessed, I was hoping Obama got in, mainly because he doesn't seem crazy and power hungry. McCain and Palin scared the hell out of me. That being said, I am tired of hearing the word "Change", but am damn well ready to see it. I also think that the "Maverick" would have only carried on Bush's agenda to screw people over and do whatever he wanted.

And as for your many comments about liberals(and their tree hugging, squirrel petting love ins), I still have more tolerance for liberal extremists (hippies) than I do for the complete ignorance and intolerance of many republican followers (not even the extremists... they are a whole other story). There main argument from Republican followers as to why Bush did the things he did was, "Why would our president steer us wrong?" I will answer that with a simple question of my own, "Why would Hitler have steered the German people wrong?" And by the way Syphilis is not the answer... well at least not the complete answer.

So before you get worried about Obama taking the guns away, maybe get worried that that will be the only thing he will do. My worry with McCain is that the only thing he would have done is kept taking away the civil liberties of Americans. Oh and before you even think of saying, the laws Bush invoked were to aid in the war on terror, maybe you should wonder why laws to help with the war on terror and defend democracy are crushing the rights of the american people.

I don't think that conservatives and republicans should be banished, but I do think that many members of the republican party lost site of what it is to be an American. Having guns doesn't make your country great. The ability to vote and decide if you should have guns makes it great. And you should be able to vote without being intimidated by Blackwater and the like.

Dude, I am a little bummed that you have lost interest in saving the planet by giving PCs to children without anything to eat. In as much as I enjoyed firing darts at that whole theory, I was nevertheless impressed that you were putting effort into doing good for humanity.

Now you have caved to the Neanderthal mentality of posting stupid stuff because it is more popular. SIKE, just kidding. I was almost making myself sick with the mindless liberal thoughts that, just this second, came to mind. I can't tell you how glad I am that I don't have to listen to all the liberal drones walking around that institution called the U of L. What with the United States soon to become a socialist society and all. They must be in such a state of euphoria. I'm sure that there are incense stations being setup in U-hall and I can't imagine the paintings on the walls. I suppose "change" is a good thing. Not the type of change that osama is talking about, but the type of change that will result when 2 years from now the American people will come to their senses and not allow their civil liberties to be taken from them any longer. Thereby creating change that will actually benefit them rather than hinder them. That and the minute obama tries to take their guns, I suspect he may have the opportunity to see the working end of one.

Hey Man, I must tell you that I am envious of your holiday. Not that I don't love being out in my holiday trailer, cause that's my first choice, but to have the time and freedom to just stay home, relax, and do the things you really want to do....... man that would be nice! I think we have become so accustomed to "going" on holidays that we have forgotten just how therapeutic it can be to simply enjoy a sustained period of time at home, with no real expectations being put on us. I dare to say that of all those that have gotten on you for not taking a "real" holiday, they are more stressed, less rejuvenated, and overall received less from their vacations than you did. Good on you for being able do what you wanted and not for what others thought you should do. Late.
